"Autoplay was blocked on this page" on Gmail

I’ve seen a few posts already on the autoplay blocked popout, and agree that it can be distracting (my eyes are drawn to it every time), but also understand the need for it.

However, in Gmail, which is the primary tab I use throughout the day, it pops out on every single page and message. Where is the autoplay in Gmail? I’ve read the suggestion to just allow it on a site, but I feel uncertain doing so since I am not sure what I am actually allowing, since there’s nothing on the page that would play even if not blocked.

@sshanky,
Thanks for reaching out!
I’m actually not entirely sure why Autoplay is requested on gmail – it’s requested on Google calendar as well. That said, I’ve always blocked it and it doesn’t seem to have had an effect.
