Autofill Verification Code from SMS?

Is there an option to enable autofill verification codes from SMS?

In Google Chrome, whenever I get a login code by SMS, this popup appears (see screenshot) and when I tap Allow the code is inserted into the Code field.
I tried going to my phone’s settings>>Google>>Autofill>>SMS Verification Codes, and enable Default Browser, but that didn’t work.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra
Android 14
Brave ver. 1.63.161, Chromium 122.0.6261.57

Thanks!

Not to my knowledge. With Brave generally being privacy centered, I’m assuming it’s not going to be trying to access your text messages and other information like Google does.

That said, my assumptions vary on accuracy. So will tag in @Mattches to see if he might know or can check with devs to see if it’s possible or even being considered.

Thanks @Saoiray!
Yeah, I thought about the security aspect of it and it does make sense. Wanted to ask just in case…
It’s a cool feature that can save you a couple of seconds, but obviously nothing too important.

Yeah I do not think that is something we’re interested in implementing — if anything, that behavior may have been inherited from the Chromium build and then intentionally removed from Brave.

Apologies for the inconvenience.

I totally understand, security first.
No inconvenience at all.

Thanks!
