Autofill not autocompleting my passwords

Description of the issue:
Today is september 22, 2022.

I searched for previous post of this issue, but
found none.

Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.

  1. Imported all passwords from firefox .csv file containing all passwords from firefox. Good.

  2. After that I exported all passwords from brave. All my firefox passwords were found by brave. So brave has ALL my passwords. Good. and brave settings of save all passwords and use autofill are enabled, turned on. But brave won’t autofill any passwords for me.

Actual Result (gifs and of are welcome!):
I go to login to my webmail. I click in email address box. brave does nothing.

**Expected result
firefox would fill in email address and password so i can login. brave does nothing. I am sad. I must manually type in email address and password.
brave is broken.

very Much often. every time not working.

Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave page in the main menu):

OS is Ubuntu 20.04 desktop version. brave version:
Version 1.43.93 Chromium: 105.0.5195.127 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Additional Information:

Then i type in email address and password. login okay to webmail. brave asks me to save email address and password. i say yes. then i check if brave still has all my passwords. Answer: no Brave only has my one email address and password that I just saved. Yuck this no good. please fix brave. then i close brave. eat lunch. start up brave again. now, brave has NO username, email or password saved at all. brave is broken. please fix brave, thank you.
I also try to sign in to same problem as above. brave is broken.
please help me.

Hello there @super-alice please accept my apologies for the delayed response. Sorry to know that Autofill is not working on your brave browser.

On this case, I kindly suggest you import a new version of the csv file on your browser to a new profile on Brave to see if this solves the issue.

Thank you Kevin for responding to my problem. The post I made was 30 days ago and sadly I had to move on after 2 weeks of waiting. I ended up going back to firefox and have since uninstalled the brave browser. But it is nice to see that I was not forgotten by the tech community for brave browser. Perhaps someday brave will behave correctly when dealing with auto fill. Thank you again for answering my post. Happy days to all Brave users… Sincerely, Alice…
