I like the ability to pick one of multiple logins I have for a website with auto-fill, but that model box just gets in the way! You can get it to go away by putting a cursor in another text box (not convenient), but worse if it’s behind the big auto-fill box or there no other text boxes you can’t see anything and can’t get it to go away if you don’t want to use it.

Hi @reedcom ,
Can you elaborate more? I’m not really sure about your issue.
And what is your Brave version, OS, also can you provide an example site and screenshot or recording or the issue?
Thanks
@reedcom ,
Please make sure you search for your issue before posting to see if someone else has already addressed this issue:
This pop-up just comes up out of nowhere and you can’t close it. I can’t really tell how to reproduce because it appears randomly. It doesn’t even matter the login status in the current page. For instance, it happened this time in a page I just logged in to:

It can also happen in pages where you are not logged in and also in page where you’ve already logged in for some time.
I mentioned it appears in random places in the browser in the title becaus…
Description of the issue:
When you use the 'saved password. feature, An uncloseable persistent password pop-up appears.
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Use the ‘saved password’ feature to fill in a password, then submit.
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
I THINK we’re getting a (broken) pop-up to add a new password, when there isn’t a new password.
Expected result:
Feature should silently go back to sleep.
Reproduces how often:
Not really sure. Of…
The reasoning is fairly technical and I will provide links if you (or anyone) are interested in further explanation. In short:
Some websites implement an “invisible login form” that the user cannot see nor are they alerted about it
On the next page (after you login), a third-party tracking script is run and the “invisible” form is filled with data entered into the browsers password manager entered for that site
The script then retreieves the login email and sends email hashes to 3rd party serv…
Perhaps if we got a timely update where the issue was patched, you
wouldn’t have people opening up bug reports for 6 month old issues.
I consider this a top tier security issue and I’m holding off
promoting Brave browser to my clients, friends and followers until I
see it fixed… satisfactorily. …just FYI.

@crogonint you can see the milestone on the right sidr of GitHub issue. If not changed, the fix will hit stable release with 0.64.x.
Yeah…I’m replying from my email eljuno, but thx. I’m home now,so I’ll
look in to it myself.
