Assistance with opening settings via CLI arguments

On LINUX the command below will not open the setting/apparence window :

brave-browser --new-window “brave://settings/apparence”

Instead it seems that the URL passed in is ignored.

Is there a way to open the settigns/apparence via the command line arguments?

This issue seems to happen all the time. I have not had a situation when it just opens intermittently.

Operating system : Linux Mint 21.1
Brave Version : 1.74.48 Chromium: 132.0.6834.83 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Note : This may be an issue on other version and on other operating systems.

Any guidance would be great.

If this feature is not implemented ; how would I go about putting in a feature request? If there is a good reason that this feature has been disabled ; please explain.

Thanks, I was hoping to be able specify brave browser specifically. See the example above on opening a new window and specifying the URL starting with brave://

The above command works fine if you replace brave://… with http://example.com or https://example.com
