Apple TV+ doesn't play in browser

Using Apple TV+ through a browser for Android users works fine on Chrome and MI Browser on my Xiaomi phone, but on Brave I just get a black screen, no media player appears.
Using Brave 1.19.86 on Android 11.

Does messing around with or disabling shields work?

We believe that this is due to a lack of Widevine support on Android at this time. I’ve just reached out to see if/when we have plans to implement it.
