Anonymous Usage Metrics slows down browser dramatically

I was asked if I wanted to turn on Anonymous Usage Metrics. I figured “Why not? I’ll help out if it makes things a little more private for everyone.” Immediately, I noticed a significant increase in the time it took content to load. 12 hours later, the issue was still occurring, so I turned it off. Immediately, content started loading faster. My twitter feed rocketed back up in speed, and images and videos started loading faster.

Gotta do something about that. I imagine a lot more of us would use it if it didn’t do that.
