Android site Notifications become "Allow" when "Block" was pressed

Description of the issue:
I’m on Android. In Brave’s Settings I set Notification permissions to “Ask first”. And yet when I visit a site that asks for notification permissions, when I tap “Block” it sets it to allow. I noticed this when opening tomshardware.com but it also happens with pushengage’s demo site.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. In Brave’s settings, set notification permission for “All sites” to “ask first”
  2. Go to a site that asks for notification permission
  3. Click “Block” (I definitely tapped nowhere near “Allow”!)
  4. Check site settings or go into Notification settings where it lists individual site permissions.

Expected result:
At least for me it is set to Allowed when I don’t want it to. I asked Brave to not allow notifications for the site in question.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.4.2 on Android 8.0.0

Thanks for reaching out, @redflames.

I’m not able to reproduce it on my end. It seems it’s “blocked” properly. Checked via Brave’s Settings > Site settings > Notifications and Settings > Site settings > All sites > Search for tomshardware.com.
