**Description of the issue:
In my Brave app’s theme settings, I have enabled the “System default” option in order to quickly switch between dark and light mode by changing my phone’s theme. The same applied to forcing dark mode on the websites accessed through the app.
However, since a few months the app has become stuck in dark mode regardless of my phone settings. The only way for me to toggle light mode is to manually select “Light” option in the app’s Theme settings, which is very inconvenient.
Is there currently a fix to this issue or will I have to wait until a future update? Ty.
**How can this issue be reproduced?
- In Settings → Appearance → Theme, select “System default”
- Also select “Apply dark theme to sites, when possible”
- In Settings → Appearance, select “Enable ‘Night Mode’ (Experimental)” [I’ve also tried disabling this option and the result is the same]
- Switch between the phone’s light and dark theme. I usually do this by clicking on the moon icon in the Quick Settings panel
**Expected result:
Brave app should switch between dark and light mode following the system setting, and websites should also be forced in or out of dark mode accordingly.
