Amazon Prime Video

#1

I don’t know about anyone else but I like to watch Amazon prime videos. Unfortunately you can not on brave at this moment. This is the error that occurs.

Digital Rights Error
Your web browser is missing a digital rights component. Go to chrome://components and under WidevineCdm, click Check for update.
For further assistance, please contact Amazon Customer Service at www.amazon.co.uk/videohelp and refer to error 7235.

So would like to get this issue sorted or the digital rights component added. Thanks.

Hi @StephenMac,

In order to play Amazon Prime Video, you need to enable Widevine first.
Please go to Preferences > Plugins, and enable Google Widevine Support there. It should work.

Thank you,

Hi @eljuno
Just looked in preferences > plugins which only has the “enable adobe flash support” no Widevine.

Hi @banko,

It seems you’re on Linux? Currently Brave have no Widevine support for Linux. May come to brave-core, coming later this year.

Thank you,
