All of my tabs disappeared on my iPad

Troubleshooting technical issues is much easier when both the user and support agent practice clear communication. For this reason, we have provided the template below for you to fill out with information about your issue. Please provide as much detail as possible so we can most efficiently resolve your problem.

Description of the issue:
I accidentally went into split screen with the Brave app and another app. When I went back on the app, it asked me if I wanted to re-open all tabs and I pressed yes like usual, but this time it didn’t show that I clicked it right away right away. Then it disappeared and went to open the tabs, and instead it opened one new tab, and all of my tabs are gone. Please help me get all of my tabs back. I had thousands of tabs. I use this app for all of my reading. I updated to the newest Brave version, to see if that would work and it did not. It is still showing that the app is using 777.7MB of my storage, so I’m hoping there’s a way to get them back.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. I’m not sure

Expected result:
All of my tabs back please

Brave Version( check About Brave):

Open Brave Browser. If the Tabs do not show, then tragically they are gone.

Unless you have been dutifully backing up your Tabs, by recording their names-and-links as bookmarks ← that you have been dutifully backing up.

You might restore from an Apple iCloud backup?

You might restore from a GoodSync backup?

I did the hard Restart twice and it didn’t work.
Do you know if restoring a previous backup work?
I don’t wanna do that yet, in case there’s any option that will work, if restoring a previous backup won’t work.
It’s still taking up 778.8 MB, doesn’t that mean my tabs are still there somewhere?

You might want to create new bookmarks for the Tabs that were most important to you. Do what you can, now, from what you remember.

Certainly export your Brave Browser bookmarks to your iPad’s Files.app folder (actually, to a sub-folder therein).

Only you, know about a previous backup that you might have.

I’m installing a previous backup now. I have them, but I’ve never done it before. I hope it works. I will let you know how things go.
Can you describe how to export your Brave Browser bookmarks to your iPad’s Files.app folder?
(I had some of my stories saved, but only the stories I finished until the point they were updated. The stories I was in the middle of and hadn’t gotten to the end of the updates, I did not add to my bookmarks. So there was a lot of stories I was in the middle of. I know now that I should add all of them.)
Thank you for helping me, I really appreciate it.

You did the work; you had the backup ← EXCELLENT.

Continue to dedicate yourself to routine backups of your data. With every computing device.

(There are so many Internet browser users who do not maintain routine backups.)
