When I turn off my laptop and restart it last night, I discovered all of my browser records are gone. Which made me into trouble, as I had been using Brave for 4-5 years. It makes me totally stunned as I have many tabs and accounts are using for both my work and personal stuffs. Is there any method for me to restore all of my data?
This happened to me too, today, and now I too am confused, cause I too have never had these issues with Brave but somehow today it got me,
recently moved to Linux so I have old machine backup still in my HDD, but the new data of last 209 days are gone,
I have to remind myself all the passwords now, and bookmarks I don’t even know what I had added in those that were important, history is not that important as it still remembers the sites I usually go to when I type the first 2 initials
hope you get your data back, I will try too
When you report an issue, include:
- Brave Browser version numbers
- Computing device
- Operating System version numbers
Always Be Prepared
Maintain chronological backups of application data.
Maintain backups of those collections of backups, on external drives.
Depending upon your Operating System, you might have some kind of system backup - a point in time, to which, you might be able to restore some things.
Possibly same issue here as well, all but 3 passwords disappeared suddenly. new passwords lasting only the session, and gone when I restart the browser. Even some of the passwords I save for the current session becomes corrupted somehow.
Linux 6.1.0-32-amd64
Brave 1.77.95
The versions should be:
BOOK-7B8OS2NUND Samsung
Windows 11 Home Version 24H2
Version 1.76.81 Chromium: 134.0.6998.166 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Would this help?
