I actually tried changing, and saving new passwords. There’s still nothing in the password list. Don’t know if anyone else has this issue. I did try restoring old files.
Rolling back to 1.67.134 restored all of my passwords. Maybe, whatever you updated found the cause of that long running bug that made passwords disappear.
Hello, I am in the same situation as you. Fortunately I was able to recover the CSV file on my smartphone but when I import it to my PC the passwords disappear again… fortunately I have my CSV backup!!! There is a big problem with passwords… I hope this data hasn’t been hacked!!! otherwise brave should communicate faster than that…
Agree, they must have a quicker way to contact its users, especially when having issues like this. It seems that we’re in the same boat with no one to rescue us. No direct email to contact them, nothing… not a way to conduct such an important platform we use every day.
I had the same problem with the workaround. But I got it to work. Under Target Location there is Target. Go to the end of (“C:\Program Files\BraveSoftware\Brave-Browser\Application\brave.exe”)and paste this: " --enable-features=SkipUndecryptablePasswords".
Has anyone able to reach BRAVE TECH SUPPORT? We shouldn’t be trying to solve a problem that they should have, saving and protecting our passwords is a part of their package.
Me yes only with my Brave on Android but it did not affect my passwords on my smartphone… I was able to recover my csv file to import it but it erases them again when I restart Brave
I see the sync on my Brave page but don’t know what it means, it states to start using sync but if I didn’t have this sync enabled how come as of yesterday my whole password list was there… I don’t understand. Please, help us.
same here. All my passwords got wiped out again this morning. I’ve made several posts about it here over the past couple years, but they haven’t addressed it it or set a prompt to backup data before forcing updates on users as we’ve requested several times.
Knowing this, they should help us quickly and not leave us this way… I have 400+ passwords, so, how can I go to each platform and request a password reset when I had them all saved on Brave thinking that it was a safe place to have them protected and access them anytime?
