After getting Google results, a topic related page N is opened despite clicking on M

Description of the issue: Brave opens undesired pages.

How can this issue be reproduced?

  1. Google results, the pointer changes as if the whole page is a URL link
  2. No matter where you click, the browser opens a topic related page that is not the one I want to open.
  3. It is like clicking on a big banner, despite clicking on a Google result (URL link).

Expected result:
The URL link I am clicking to be opened instead of a related page.

1.14.84
Running on Fedora 32

I cannot believe anyone else is experiencing this annoying issue, it is getting so frustrating I am considering to uninstall Brave, because what is the point of Add protection if later on it open pages which I haven’t requested …
