Ads not blocked

Hello !

I found that one of the biggest french forum displays ads while I use Brave Browser.

My ad control setting is “block ads”, shield is up, and I’m using windows 10 (did not test on linux or macos).

When I activate or disable flash nothing changes and I get the ad anyway.

It’s not only on the homepage but on all the website.

Info :

Name Version
Brave 0.19.53
rev e09025b
Muon 4.4.29
libchromiumcontent 61.0.3163.100
V8 6.1.534.41
Node.js 7.9.0
Update Channel Release
OS Platform Microsoft Windows
OS Release 10.0.14393
OS Architecture x64

Tell me if you need additional informations !

Thank you

Website bypassing brave ad blocking

Are you sure you are using 0.19.53? I do not see any ads on that version, how ever if you are on one of the preview builds then it does show. Here’s the comparison
on 0.19.53

The ads leakage issue on preview builds is captured here and the the fix should be available in the next build. This is the tracking issue

Hello, Thanks for your answer.

I copy pasted my info from browser, so I think it was really that version.

I’ll do it again with more details now:

Name Version
Brave 0.19.70
rev d4b94c6
Muon 4.5.9
libchromiumcontent 62.0.3202.62
V8 6.2.414.32
Node.js 7.9.0
Update Channel Release
OS Platform Microsoft Windows
OS Release 10.0.14393
OS Architecture x64

Shield up, https everywhere, block phishing/malware, ad control : block ads. cookie control : block 3rd party cookies.

Page :
Description : big video ad doest start cause auto play isn’t allowed on this website

Page :
Description : big image ad

Page :
Description : HUGE ad arround all page

Additionnal ads : every 100 clicks or so on the website there is a redirection to a 100% ad page. You need to wait a bit and then click “continuer” which means “continue”. I couldn’t get a screenshot cause I’m not patient.

Do you need ad links or me to inspect element ?

Still not able to repro. Cc’ing @luke.mulks for investigation

I don’t know if it is because of an update, but today, after switching to Brave ads and then allow ads and trackers and then Block ads again, I don’t have these ads anymore.
