this is my first post, though I am loving using the Brave browser for 3 months now.
One thing is not clear to me: the reward for every AD is .5 BAT. Does it make any difference if I click or not on the AD notification?

No, @thisisfed. Basically, you will get rewarded for your attention – to see tge notification when ads appears. https://support.brave.com/hc/en-us/articles/360026361072-Brave-Ads-FAQ

A quick way to gauge if the ad copy is matching the intent of the keywords is to search the top search terms of a keyword, and read the top organic results and knowledge graphs
