Address bar won't work

Sometimes the address bar just doesn’t work. Tabs/sites previously opened would still work but opening a link in to new tab just results in an endless loading for that new tab. Opening new tab and trying to search anything won’t work either.

How can this issue be reproduced?
No way of reproducing the error, it just happens randomly.

Expected result:
Wont load anything from new tab, I guess.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
v1.47.186

Additional Information:
Closing the browser altogether and re opening it is just the solutions i’m using, if you found a better way to handle this or just fix it would be nice.

Hello there @prenzy could you please try opening your main profile in private or guest mode to see if the address bar works? If it does, try disabling your extensions to see if this is the cause of the issue.

You can open a Guest Window by going to Main menu → Open Guest window:

  1. On your computer, open Brave.
  2. At the top right, click Menu → More tools → Extensions.
  3. On to the extension you want to remove, click Remove.
  4. Confirm by clicking Remove.
