For a while (can’t remember how long exactly) I’ve been noticing a bug where when I type something into the address bar, leave the address bar context, and then come back to finish typing, only the first bit of what I typed will actually get sent through. I thought it was just at random, but I found at least one specific instance where it happens consistently - switching between tabs in the middle of typing.
To reproduce, open a new tab and start typing any search term or website, but stop halfway. Then, open a new tab or change tabs to a different one within the same browser context (doesn’t seem to happen between windows). Finally, come back to the original tab and finish typing out the search/website. Once you press enter, you should notice that the second half of what you typed didn’t persist. For instance, you could type:
community.
switch tabs
come back to tab and finish the search string
community.brave.com
press enter
This process will perform a search for the malformed query of community., as if you never typed the remainder of the query.
