Address Bar Hangs Up

Sporadically the address bar exhibits a long delay, like 30 seconds or more, when I try to type into it.

How can this issue be reproduced?
Normal browsing and then try to enter text in the address bar. It looks like Brave accepts no typed text, but quite a few seconds later the characters appear. I had this problem in Gnome desktop and was able to rectify it by clearing the clipboard. Now I am using Hyprland and the “clip-hist wipe” command does not rectify the situation.

Expected result:
Immediately see what I typed in the address bar.

Brave Version( check About Brave):
Brave 1.79.118 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Chromium: 137.0.7151.61
Additional Information:
kernel version is 6.14

This happens every once in awhile. It is not constant. It seems to be related to the clipboard.

I have tried setting the address bar to not autocomplete. I’ll see how that goes…

Hi. I have the same issue. It’s Linux/Gnome and Brave 1.79.119 (Official Build) (64-Bit).

I’ve turned off autocompletion entirey, too. But the problem still occurs.

I’ve also tried it with a new, empty profile. But that doesn’t help either.
