Address bar contains URL for wrong tab when clicked on

#1

Hi!

I am seeing a bug in the address bar of Brave. When not clicked on, it is correct: it shows the site name in bold, with the page title (for example: community.brave.com | Latest QA).

However, when clicked on, it will be incorrect. Instead of containing URL text like https://community.brave.com/c/qa/l/latest it will instead contain the URL text of another site! It may be another tab I have open, or it may be another tab I recently closed.

Has anybody else had this bug happen to them?

Unfortunately, this is difficult to reproduce. It happens when I’m clicking open many tabs from an external program, such as email, and then reading through those tabs, one at a time, perhaps opening and closing additional tabs in the meantime.

Hi @krellan, thank you for reporting.

I believe it’s an URL from previously closed tab. I face similar issue. But because I show the URL bar, I can easily notice if the URL is different.

For workaround, you can hit Esc on keyboard to bring back the URL.
