Adding more block lists adds how much more time to do lookups?

My config: Brave 1.77.101 with Chrome 135.0.7049.115, Windows 10 Home x64 22H2

There is a warning in the block lists (content filters) that enabling more block lists will slow web browsing. I selected all block lists except for regional filters.

  • Does Brave optimize the entries from multiple block lists by removing duplicates?
  • Aren’t the de-duplicated block lists stored in memory as a database to maintain fast lookups?

I have 26 block lists subscribed by uBlock Origin in Firefox, and have noticed no slowdown in loading either the web browser or loading web pages. If properly performanced, any increase for lookups should be in the single milliseconds range.
