Ad Blocking Filters possibly not working

I use a cashback site for 3 retailers.

The click path starts at the cashback site, and then sends you to the retailer. We have to disable ad blocking in order for their tracking system to record your purchase at the retailer.

I thought that by inserting Ad Block filter exceptions this would still allow me to use Brave only for these sites. After entering the exceptions according to Ad Block filter syntax, I still get warning messages indicating Ad Block is still active. How do I use Ad Block exceptions properly in this case?
