Description of the issue:
Not able to get actual link from image results
Steps to Reproduce (add as many as necessary): 1. 2. 3.
Search “storage drink cans” either under images or click images after search.
Select the image from amazon.com.au “Gillas 3 Pack Soda Can Organizer Large…”
On the right were the selected image appears with VISIT, DOWNLOAD, COPY options
Actual Result (gifs and screenshots are welcome!):
both visit and the upper title “Gillas 3 Pack Organizer Large Rack for Pantry, STackable Beverage Soda Can Drinks Stora…” link to https://www.amazon.com.au/soft-drink-storage/s?k=soft+drink+storage. You can see the link on the bottom left corner of the screen shot where I was hovering over VISIT (same results when hovering over title)
Expected result:
Link should be to the item page the picture shown. If I wanted to search Amazon, I would have done so. This isn’t a redirect on Amazon’s part, at least, the link on the brave results is wrong. The bot got the right link to get the pic, why didn’t I. I would rather have a dead link than a search link, at least that’s somewhat useful
Reproduces how often:
Every time
Operating System and Brave Version(See the About Brave
page in the main menu):
My OS has NOTHING to do with this issue. It’s results from the Brave server.
Additional Information:
Sites like Amazon are now doing lots of re-directs. So I would suggest a cache link as well. Mostly, no one searches a search engine to get only the home page without the information searched for
