About:config site can't be reached

Hello: I have in the past entered about:config in the address bar to turn off javascript for privacy issues. However when i type it in now I get the following message:

This site can’t be reached

The webpage at chrome://config/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.

Can someone help me understand why this is happening and how to fix it? Or work around it?

Do you mean brave://flags/ ?

As for JavaScript, you can elect to block scripts by using built-in Shields.

It’s not “about:config” (that’s Firefox). It’s brave://flags for experiments.

You may disable JS globally in Settings>Shields>Block scripts = On

or you may access Shields directly via Brave icon in address bar > “Change global shield defaults”.
