"ABC's" DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem

Hi Brave Communty,

I keep getting this message on Brave Browser: “ABC’s” DNS address could not be found. Diagnosing the problem.

I have not been able to access any websites on brave browser. I have tried restoring back to original settings. I have also uninstalled brave and redownloaded it.

Can someone please help here?

Clear DNS cache:

URL: brave://net-internals/#dns

Click on “Clear host cache”

Clear browser cache:

URL: brave://settings/clearBrowserData

Pause . . . and determine if you want to choose Basic or Advanced

IF BASIC:

Select Basic

Set Time range to “All time”

ENABLE all three:

  • Browsing history
  • Cookies and other site data
  • Cached images and files

Click on the “Clear data” button

IF ADVANCED:

Select Advanced

Set Time range to “All time”

ENABLE all the listed items’ switches EXCEPT:

  • Passwords and other sign-in data
  • Autofill form data
  • Site and Shields Settings

Click on the “Clear data” button

Though the problem might be out in the Internet cosmos — Disney has been having trouble today - see DownDetector:
