A bug with window/tab focus when manoeuvring forward or backwards with swipe gestures on a mac

Using swipe gestures for back and forward on mac doesn’t restore the focus on the present window of the browser.

Steps to Reproduce

  1. Go to any web-page through 2-3 other web pages. Make sure that the page you are visiting asks for a pop-up about whether to leave the current page or not.
  2. Now if you swipe left to go back on mac using trackpad, the browser will first show the pop-up of leave or stay on the page and after clicking leave, the browser will load the previous page, but the window will be out of focus.
  3. Similarly in step 2, if you swipe right using trackpad, the browser will load the next page, but again the window will be out of focus, after you click the leave button.

See the below images :

The resulted page will be out of focus. And it always requires an extra click to focus on the current page which was loaded after the action.

This Bug reproduces almost always when manoeuvring between pages with these pop-ups of leave/stay. I’ve encountered it almost always.

Brave Version : Version 0.61.52 Chromium: 73.0.3683.86 (Official Build) (64-bit)

Reproducible on current live release : yes

Please look into this. The act of clicking again on the page to re-focus is kind of annoying.

PS : This is also the case when re-loading these pages as well. Then also the tab/window remains out of focus.
