I tried to log in my Gmail account, and when it came the time to send a message to my phone, even tho the 2 step verification page displayed my phone, the message was never sent.
I had to use the Google Authenticator app to complete the process.

In the meantime, try disabling Hardware Acceleration in settings to see if this resolves the issue. You’ll find this in brave://settings/system > Use hardware acceleration when available > toggle off > relaunch Brave.
