1.48 update re-enabled Auto-Contribute without user input
How can this issue be reproduced?
Expected result:
Auto-Contribute should not enable itself without user input.
Brave Version( check About Brave):
1.48.158 Chromium: 110.0.5481.77 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Additional Information:
Happened on three desktop devices.
That happens only on Unverifed profiles. If you connect to Uphold / Gemini, it automatically goes to prior settings set by you. This is because

Hi @talgeeze - just seeing this. Had you recently linked a new device to your custodian account? How much BAT was wrongly contributed?
No
None, fortunately. Every single month I have to re-check it’s correctly disabled and I also re-check after every single major update to avoid nasty surprises since the auto-contribute switch is everything but trustworthy. It was off when I checked on 02/01, it was back on after upgrading to 1.48.
I just felt it was a good idea to remind people to check it often.
